Hill's second-inning single scored Drew Cavanaugh and put Christian Koss in scoring position before Rafael Devers' three-run homer made it 5-2. Carson Seymour (0-1) allowed Lowe's leadoff single in the bottom half; after Nick Gonzales singled and Oneil Cruz reached on a fielder's choice, Rafael Flores Jr.'s grounder to third was fielded cleanly, but Basabe's throw short-hopped Devers at first and Lowe scored, the AP said. ESPN's scoring play credits the run on Basabe's throwing error.
