Golden State drew level early in the third quarter Wednesday, but Atlanta’s response left the Valkyries trailing in the WNBA Finals for the first time.
The Dream won Game 3 97–71 at State Farm Arena on October 21 to take a 2–1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Golden State tied the score at 49 before Atlanta answered with eight straight points, according to the Dream’s official recap. Atlanta led 71–57 entering the fourth quarter.
Angel Reese finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Atlanta. The Dream held Golden State to 34.8% shooting and converted 17 Valkyries turnovers into 22 points. That combination left little room for a late comeback.
