Pleasanton-based 10x Genomics announced a research collaboration with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center on Oct. 7 to study how its single-cell and spatial-analysis tools might support future cancer diagnostics.
One project will examine bladder-cancer samples for biological features associated with treatment response. Another will investigate detection of residual disease after treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. The company described the partnership as its first clinical research initiative extending beyond solid tumors into blood cancers.
The announcement concerns planned research, with no clinical results reported. 10x says its products are for research use only and are not for diagnostic procedures.
