San Francisco’s offense needed a half to get moving Sunday. Its defense kept the game within reach, holding Denver to three first-half points before the 49ers pulled away for a 24–14 win Oct. 4, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The teams were tied 3–3 at halftime. Dre Greenlaw led San Francisco with 12 tackles and forced a fourth-quarter fumble, while Malik Mustapha broke up a third-down pass before the break, according to the 49ers’ game report.

The field-position swing came on a third-quarter punt return. Siran Neal forced and recovered a fumble at Denver’s 28-yard line. Nine plays later, Brock Purdy’s one-yard touchdown pass to Deebo Samuel Sr. gave San Francisco its first lead, 10–3.

George Kittle’s late 56-yard touchdown reception helped put the game away. The 49ers improved to 4–0 and now head to Lumen Field to face Seattle on Sunday, Oct. 11, according to the team’s Monday report.
