WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Henry Bolte kept finding grass.
The Athletics outfielder singled, doubled, and singled again Wednesday night at Sutter Health Park, finishing 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in a 7-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. The Associated Press described it as his first four-hit game.
ESPN's box score matches that line: four hits in five at-bats, no walks, and the double that stretched an early lead to 5-0 in the second.
Donovan Walton supplied the opening punch. After Lawrence Butler's RBI single, Walton launched a two-out, three-run homer off rookie Walbert Urena for a 4-0 cushion in the first - Walton's ninth of the season, the AP reported. Bolte's RBI double in the second pushed Sacramento further ahead before the middle innings tightened.
Early cushion, then a reply
Mike Trout and Vaughn Grissom went back-to-back against Jeffrey Springs in the fourth, cutting the deficit to 5-2. Trout's blast was his 22nd of the year and the 426th of his career, per the AP. Grissom's 13th followed, and his RBI single in the fifth made it 5-3 and chased Springs after 4 1/3 innings.

Urena (9-11) lasted four innings and allowed five runs on seven hits. Across his prior three appearances spanning 21 innings, he had allowed five runs total before Wednesday's early damage.

Alika Williams and Bolte singled off Jose Fermin in the sixth. Both scored when Shea Langeliers doubled, restoring a four-run margin at 7-3. Zack Gelof added two of Sacramento's 13 hits, and Butler finished with two. Carlos Cortes went hitless in two trips after his pinch-hit surge a night earlier.
