Cal men’s golf won the Fighting Irish Classic on Monday, Oct. 5, ending a stretch without a team tournament title that dated to 2023.

The Bears finished at 1-over-par 841 at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana. Texas A&M was a single stroke behind at 842, with host Notre Dame another stroke back at 843.

Cal carried the lead into the final round and finished with a 281. A&M closed in 280, narrowing the gap but leaving the Bears in first after 54 holes.

Three Cal golfers finished in the top 15. The result was also the program’s first team tournament victory under director of men’s golf Michael Wilson.

For Bay Area followers, Cal’s next stop brings the fall schedule back to California. The Bears are scheduled to close their fall season at the St. Mary’s Invitational, Oct. 19-21, at Bayonet Golf Course.
