California’s volleyball team finished its ACC road trip with a straight-sets win Sunday, beating Notre Dame 25–18, 25–15, 25–15 in South Bend.
The Golden Bears improved to 13–4 overall and 3–3 in conference play. The result supplied a rebound from their loss at Louisville earlier in the week and gave Pleasanton followers of the East Bay program a third sweep to celebrate this season.
Cal’s ability to turn a close set into a comfortable finish stood out. The Bears won the final six points of the second set after Notre Dame narrowed the margin to 19–15. In the third, Cal used seven unanswered points to extend a 16–13 lead.
Ashley Li led Cal with 13 kills. Three Bears reached double figures in digs, giving the offense consistent support behind the block.
