Pleasanton seeks comments on draft bicycle and pedestrian plan

Pleasanton residents can review and comment on the city’s draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, a proposed guide for improvements over the next five years.

The update builds on the plan adopted in 2018. The city says it will account for completed projects, current community needs and newer street-design approaches, with an emphasis on connections to downtown, schools, parks, transit and neighborhoods.

The draft is available on the city’s project page. That page directs written feedback to Matt Nelson through the listed contact link. It does not give a closing date for comments.

The city’s schedule identifies September 2026 for completion of the draft report and estimates that the final plan will go to the City Council in November. That is a planned review step; the current document remains a draft open for public input.
