Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan have told California regulators they will permanently eliminate two positions in Pleasanton, part of a small batch of job cuts filed under the state's layoff-notice law.
The notices, dated Oct. 5, list Dec. 4 as the last day of work. Across five filings, Kaiser reported six permanent layoffs in all: two in Pleasanton, one in Oakland, two in Pasadena and one in San Diego, according to state Employment Development Department records as compiled on a California employment law firm's website. That tally covers notices the state has posted since July 2025.
California's version of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act generally requires employers to give workers 60 days' written warning of a covered layoff. The Oct. 5 notice date falls exactly 60 days before the Dec. 4 separation date.
The published listing does not identify the affected jobs or give a reason for the cuts.
