Workday, Inc. announced the immediate appointment of Bernd Leukert to its EMEA Advisory Board. The company describes itself as an enterprise platform focused on human resources, finance, and information technology solutions.
Leukert joins the board with over three decades of leadership experience at major global technology and financial services firms. His previous roles include positions at BP, DWS, and SAP. Most recently, he served on the Management Board for Technology, Data, and Innovation at Deutsche Bank AG. Based in Germany, Leukert has held positions involving product development, cloud transformation, and enterprise software, while also serving on various boards and advisory councils. He possesses specific knowledge of international financial regulations.
The EMEA Advisory Board consists of external C-suite executives who collaborate with Workday’s regional leadership. The group aims to assist organizations in navigating the evolving workplace within an AI-driven economy. Workday stated that this strategic addition supports its efforts to help regional clients utilize trusted AI agents to achieve measurable business results and accelerate transformation.
Carolyn Horne, Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts for EMEA at Workday, welcomed Leukert to the board. She noted that his experience would be valuable as the company continues to support regional organizations in modernizing workforce and finance operations. Horne emphasized the use of AI-powered capabilities grounded in business context and guardrails.
Leukert expressed admiration for Workday’s combination of innovation and customer success. He highlighted excitement regarding the company’s AI-first vision and its focus on using trusted AI agents to drive productivity and business value across the EMEA region.
