Workday Adaptive Planning, a product of Workday Government, has obtained FedRAMP Authorization at the Moderate Impact Level. This certification confirms that the software meets federal security and compliance standards for processing sensitive, unclassified government data.

The authorization provides federal agencies with a secure foundation for modern planning operations. The platform integrates workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting into a single system. This integration allows agencies to manage connected workforce and financial data, addressing challenges posed by disconnected information systems and manual spreadsheet processes.

Agencies can utilize the tool to model workforce implications of organizational changes, including hiring freezes, budget reductions, and reorganizations. The system helps evaluate potential effects on headcount, costs, project timelines, and mission readiness. Finance teams can use the platform to assess competing program requests, allocate costs across funds, monitor budgets during procurement, and identify potential overruns.

Ben Pierce, general manager of Workday Adaptive Planning, stated that federal agencies require a planning tool that protects data while enabling speed. He noted that the authorization offers a secure, modern method to improve the utility of budgeting and workforce planning.

Workday Adaptive Planning operates within the Workday Government Cloud alongside human capital management and financial solutions. By consolidating planning within the same platform used for HR and finance, the company aims to help agencies move beyond legacy systems that merely record work.

The software is scheduled to become available to Workday Government customers in early 2027.

Workday Government is a wholly owned subsidiary of Workday, Inc. The subsidiary serves civilian, defense, and intelligence communities by unifying HR and finance on an intelligent platform. Workday describes itself as an enterprise AI platform for HR, finance, and IT.

The press release includes forward-looking statements regarding Workday's plans and expectations. These statements are based on currently available information and current beliefs. The company notes that such statements are subject to inherent risks and uncertainties.

Workday Inc. employs about 5,399 people in Pleasanton, according to local government records.
