Workday, Inc. has named John Lombard as the President for Asia Pacific. The announcement was made in July 2026 from offices in India and Singapore. Lombard joins the enterprise AI platform provider with more than 30 years of experience in senior technology and advisory roles.
Prior to this appointment, Lombard served as the Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at NTT Data for ten years. His professional history also includes leadership positions at SAP, KPMG Australia, and Crowe Howarth. Throughout his career, he has assisted companies in adapting to various regulatory environments, updating technology systems, and expanding through data-focused methods.
Lombard will be based in Australia and Singapore. In his new capacity, he is responsible for directing the region’s go-to-market strategy and commercial activities. He will also manage Workday’s expansion across key markets in Asia Pacific. His duties include growing the business in the area, strengthening the network of partners, and assisting clients in using the Workday platform to improve operational efficiency and growth.
Lombard stated that Asia Pacific is a central hub for global innovation and offers significant opportunities for businesses to use intelligent technology for competitive advantages. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the team to strengthen regional relationships and support customers during their digital transformation efforts.
Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Workday, noted that the appointment aligns with a period where organizations in the region are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence to enhance employee experiences and optimize financial results. Enslin highlighted Lombard’s regional expertise, customer-focused approach, and history of building effective teams as valuable assets for scaling operations and helping businesses utilize the Workday platform.
