Workday Inc. announced the appointment of John Lombard to the position of President for Asia Pacific. The company stated that Lombard brings more than 30 years of senior technology and advisory leadership experience to the role.
Prior to joining Workday, Lombard served as the Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at NTT Data for ten years. His career also includes senior leadership positions at SAP, KPMG Australia, and Crowe Howarth, a business and financial advisory organization.
Lombard will be based in Australia and Singapore. In his new capacity, he will oversee Workday’s regional go-to-market strategy, commercial operations, and continued expansion across key markets in the Asia Pacific region. The company indicated that his focus will include scaling the business in the region, deepening the partner ecosystem, and assisting customers in leveraging the Workday platform to drive operational efficiency and growth.
Workday Inc. specializes in publishing cloud-based management software for businesses, educational institutions, and government bodies. The group offers financial management, human resources, and analytical solutions for various sectors including finance, technology, healthcare, and government administration. Net sales are derived primarily from sales and subscriptions, which account for 91.4% of revenue, with professional services making up the remaining 8.6%. The United States accounts for 75% of net sales. The company has 20,834 employees.
