Pleasanton-based Workday announced Oct. 1 that it had launched operations in the United Arab Emirates, anchored by a new Dubai office and expanded regional leadership.
The company said the office would support customer relationships, partnerships and local recruitment for its human-resources and finance software business. Workday’s EMEA president, Angelique De Vries-Schipperijn, and Middle East, Turkey and Africa group vice president Zakaria Haltout attended the launch.
Workday described the Middle East as an important part of its international growth strategy, citing demand for cloud services and business modernization.
