Woo’s Dominant Start

Bryan Woo secured his seventh win of the season, pitching six and one-third innings for the Seattle Mariners in their 8-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday. Woo (7-6) allowed two earned runs on four hits while issuing one walk and recording five strikeouts. His performance provided a sturdy foundation for the Mariners, who broke the game open with a massive offensive output in the middle innings.

Sixth-Inning Explosion

The Mariners’ offense, which had been held scoreless early, erupted in the sixth inning to take control of the contest. The scoring began when Arozarena singled to left field, allowing Rodríguez to score and putting Naylor on second base. Young followed with a hit to right, driving in Naylor and advancing Raleigh to second and Arozarena to third.

The inning continued with wild pitches by Angels reliever Chase Silseth, which allowed Arozarena to score and advanced the other runners. We. Wilson then singled to right, bringing in both Raleigh and Young to extend the lead. The Mariners added two more runs in the same inning as Emerson singled to left, scoring Arozarena and Rodríguez, and Robles added another hit to left, driving in Young. This six-run inning shifted the momentum entirely in Seattle’s favor.

Angels Respond

The Angels managed to score in the seventh inning, attempting to close the gap. O’Hoppe singled to center, allowing Meckler to score. Neto followed with a hit to center, bringing in Lowe and O’Hoppe. Emerson then singled to left, scoring Arozarena and Rodríguez, and Robles added a single to left to score Young. Despite the late offensive push, the Angels could not overcome the deficit.

Pitching and Final Score

Chase Silseth took the loss, pitching one inning and allowing two earned runs on two hits. Brent Suter also pitched for Los Angeles, giving up three earned runs on four hits in one inning. Ryan Zeferjahn closed out the Angels' pitching effort with a scoreless inning.

For Seattle, Eduard Bazardo pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowing one earned run on two hits. Michael Rucker and Andres Munoz each pitched one scoreless inning to preserve the win. The game was played at T-Mobile Park in front of 32,372 fans. The Mariners improved to 44-43, while the Angels fell to 36-51.
