A Steady Performance in Seattle
The Seattle Seahawks secured a decisive 30-23 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at Lumen Field. The win improved Seattle’s record to 3-1, while the Chargers fell to 0-4 on the season. The game was defined by efficient offensive execution from the home team and critical defensive stops that prevented Los Angeles from mounting a comeback.
First Half Control
The Seahawks established early dominance in the first quarter. After Cameron Dicker opened the scoring with a 40-yard field goal to give Los Angeles a 3-0 lead, Seattle responded immediately. Sam Darnold connected with Emanuel Wilson on a 23-yard pass, and Jason Myers added the extra point to take a 7-3 advantage.
Seattle’s offense maintained its momentum into the second quarter. Rashid Shaheed broke through for a 28-yard rushing touchdown, extending the lead to 13-3 despite a missed PAT. The Seahawks continued to pile on points as Wilson found the end zone again, this time on an 8-yard rush, pushing the score to 20-3 before Dicker kicked a 39-yard field goal for Los Angeles.
The half ended with Seattle firmly in control at 20-6.
Third Quarter Back and Forth
The third quarter saw both offenses find rhythm. Darnold linked up with Tory Horton on a 6-yard touchdown pass, restoring the seven-point margin at 27-6. However, Justin Herbert led a response for the Chargers, finding Kimani Vidal on a 9-yard strike to cut the deficit to 27-13.
