Luka Doncic scored 23 points in 25 minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 114-110 in a preseason game Thursday night at crypto.com Arena. Doncic made 9 of 9 free throws. The crowd was listed at 18,350.
The win left the Lakers 2-1 in the preseason, and the Kings fell to 0-2.
How the score moved
Los Angeles led 21-20 after one quarter and pulled away in the second, outscoring Sacramento 36-23 to take a 57-43 halftime lead. The Lakers added to the margin in the third quarter, winning it 29-27, and led 86-70 going into the fourth.
Sacramento made it close late. The Kings outscored the Lakers 40-28 in the final quarter but ran out of time to erase the 16-point deficit.
