Lakers pull away in the first half
Luka Doncic scored 21 points in 16 minutes as the visiting Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 127-103 in a preseason game Monday. The game was played at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento before a crowd of 15,130.
The Kings led 18-13 midway through the first quarter before Doncic hit back-to-back 25-foot shots to put Los Angeles ahead 19-18. The Lakers finished the period up 36-28, then outscored Sacramento 37-19 in the second quarter to lead 73-47 at halftime.
That 26-point cushion proved too much for Sacramento. Sandro Mamukelashvili recorded five assists for the Lakers, and Kevon Looney grabbed nine rebounds. Cameron Carr added 19 points off the bench and Quentin Grimes scored 16.
