Warriors build an early lead

The Golden State Warriors beat the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 124-98 in a preseason game at Chase Center in San Francisco on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Yaxel Lendeborg led the Warriors with 17 points and nine rebounds. Draymond Green had eight assists, and Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski each scored 16 points.

For Los Angeles, Sandro Mamukelashvili led the scoring with 15 points, Bronny James had five assists and Jarred Vanderbilt grabbed five rebounds. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves did not play.

First-half momentum

Golden State outscored Los Angeles 45-31 in the first quarter and added 36 points in the second while holding the Lakers to 22.

That gave the Warriors an 81-53 lead at halftime.

Second half

The Lakers won the third quarter 22-15, trimming the deficit to 96-75 entering the final period. Golden State answered by outscoring Los Angeles 28-23 in the fourth to finish with a 26-point win.

Preseason records

Both teams are 1-1 in the preseason. The game does not count in the regular-season standings; the two teams' first regular-season meeting is scheduled for Oct. 21.
