Late Surge Secures Victory
Kyren Williams provided the decisive spark in the fourth quarter, rushing for two touchdowns to lift the visiting Los Angeles Rams to a 24-20 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The win improved both teams' records to 2-2 on the season.
The Rams entered the final period trailing 17-10 but quickly turned the momentum around. Williams broke loose for a one-yard touchdown run, and Harrison Mevis successfully added the extra point to narrow the gap to 17-17. Just moments later, Williams found the end zone again, this time on a seven-yard run, giving Los Angeles its first lead of the second half at 24-17.
Eagles Build Early Lead
Philadelphia controlled the middle portion of the game, taking advantage of offensive efficiency to build a commanding lead. The Eagles opened scoring with a 29-yard field goal by Jake Elliott in the first quarter, followed by a Rams response via Harrison Mevis's 40-yard kick. The second quarter saw Philadelphia’s offense ignite.
Elliott connected on another field goal before Jalen Hurts found Darius Cooper for an 18-yard touchdown pass. After Puka Nacua added a two-yard rushing touchdown for the Rams, Hurts and Cooper linked up again on a 10-yard strike to extend Philadelphia's advantage to 20-10 at halftime.
