Pumpkins After Dark is scheduled to open Friday evening, October 2, at Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. The venue describes a walking trail with more than 10,000 illuminated, hand-carved pumpkins, along with carving demonstrations and photo areas.

The fairgrounds lists these dates and opening times:

October 2–4: 7:15 p.m.

October 8–11: 7 p.m.

October 15–18: 6:45 p.m.

October 22–25 and 29–31: 6:30 p.m.

The posted hours end at 10 p.m. on each listed night.

Visitors must use Gate 8 at 2005 Valley Avenue. The fairgrounds says the Pleasanton Avenue entrance will not provide access to this event.

Parking costs $15 and is payable by card or mobile tap-to-pay. Admission is sold separately, with adult and youth ticket categories; children age 3 and younger enter free. The venue cautions that prices can change, so its event page links to the organizer for current ticket information.

The event is making its debut at the fairgrounds. It is not open every night in October.
