SideTrack Bar + Grill is set to host its second annual SmokeFest in Pleasanton on Sunday, October 18. The country western-themed event will take place from noon to 8 p.m. in the restaurant’s tented parking lot located at 30 West Angela Street.
Admission to the festival is free until 4 p.m., after which a $10 cover charge applies. Guests can purchase food and drink tickets upon arrival, with seating provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The restaurant encourages attendees to RSVP via its event page, though registration is not mandatory.
The festival evolved from SideTrack Smoke, the establishment’s limited-run barbecue menu. For this year’s gathering, the kitchen plans to serve brisket, baby back ribs, tri-tip, pulled pork, chicken thighs, and sausage. Attendees can pair their meat selections with sides including mac and cheese and coleslaw, followed by desserts from Pleasanton’s Primrose Bakery. Beer, wine, and specialty cocktails will also be available for purchase.
Entertainment begins at 12:30 p.m. with a performance by the country rock band Ruff Stock, which concludes at 2:30 p.m. This is followed by Singo, a music bingo game, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The Wine Steward will host complimentary wine tastings between 4 and 6 p.m., while Christy Duncan Anderson leads a line dancing class from 4 to 5 p.m.
The Bell Brothers, a local group playing country, rock, and Americana music, takes the stage at 5 p.m. Two Hat Chicks will be present to sell custom cowboy and trucker hats.
