The Pleasanton Express is soliciting questions from local residents for an upcoming political forum scheduled for Oct. 14. The event will be hosted at the Pleasanton Chamber building and broadcast through the outlet's 830 Amplified podcast.
The forum will feature candidates running for Atascosa County commissioner Precincts 2 and 4. Both positions are contested in the Nov. 3 general election, as listed on the Texas Secretary of State’s certified ballot. Community members are encouraged to submit inquiries regarding county issues, specific precinct concerns, or other topics relevant to voters.
Questions can be submitted in advance via an online Google form or by scanning a QR code provided by the newspaper. During the live broadcast, three additional questions from viewers may be accepted if time allows. The event will be streamed on the 830 Amplified YouTube channel and shared across the Pleasanton Express’ social media platforms.
As of the report, candidates from Precinct 4 had confirmed their participation. In Precinct 2, only one candidate had confirmed attendance. The outlet stated that strict guidelines will be followed to ensure fairness. If a candidate declines to participate in a two-candidate race, leaving only one willing participant, the forum for that specific race will not be held.
