Amador Valley moved to first place in the Pleasanton Weekly’s Sept. 28 flag-football power rankings after a 13–12 victory over San Ramon Valley.
The newspaper’s Playbook newsletter reported that the Dons scored late to secure the win. Amador Valley was listed at 13–2 overall and 6–0 in league play in that rankings snapshot.
San Ramon Valley ranked second, followed by Carondelet, Livermore and Granada.
The Sept. 29 newsletter also placed Monte Vista first in its girls’ volleyball rankings after a five-set win against San Ramon Valley. Foothill ranked third in that list.
