Sabio on Main in Pleasanton was named to the 2026 Michelin Guide, becoming one of only two establishments from the Tri-Valley region to receive this recognition. The announcement was made Wednesday during a ceremony in San Diego. This inclusion marks the sixth straight year the Californian contemporary restaurant has appeared in the publication.
The guide highlights the restaurant's hyperseasonal approach, noting its use of locally sourced produce, meat from regenerative ranches, and responsibly caught seafood. Specific dishes praised include a spring garlic velouté with Livermore olive oil and a blueberry cheesecake sundae. The establishment has operated at 501 Main Street since 2015.
Range Life in Livermore was the other Tri-Valley restaurant listed. The guide distinguishes between being listed and receiving a Michelin star, with only two East Bay restaurants earning stars: Commis in Oakland received two, and Sun Moon Studio in Oakland received one. Several other venues in Oakland, Berkeley, Lafayette, Hayward, and El Cerrito were also selected, with some East Bay locations awarded Bib Gourmand status for value.
