The Pleasanton City Council approved an agreement with Zone 7 Water Agency on September 1, 2026, for a joint Regional Groundwater Development Project.
Zone 7 will act as the lead agency for project delivery, targeting a December 2029 operational date.
The council must authorize funding for preliminary design and owner representative services provided by Luhdorff & Scalmanini, Consulting Engineers.
The total cost for these services will not exceed $2.25 million.
Pleasanton is responsible for a share of $810,000 under the existing agreement with Zone 7.
The project will utilize the Progressive Design Build method to facilitate collaboration between design teams and contractors.
This approach allows stakeholders to establish a guaranteed maximum price prior to construction.
