Bond Structure and Terms

The proposed securities will mature in 25 years with an interest rate not to exceed 5.5 percent. A call provision allows the city to redeem some or all of the bonds prior to maturity. Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC will act as the underwriter for a negotiated sale.

Purpose and Funding Allocation

The financing will fund improvements to the City water systems infrastructure. The proceeds will also cover costs associated with the bond issuance process.

Authorization Process

The council resolution acts as a companion report to an action being considered by the Pleasanton Joint Powers Financing Authority. This represents a separate but related step from the authorization to issue the bonds, which will be handled through the Authority.
