Proposed Land Use Changes

The Pleasanton City Council is set to consider a resolution that would amend the General Plan land use designation for two specific properties.

The sites at 1225 Hopyard Road and 4100 First Street would shift from Public and Institutional status to High Density Residential.

A separate amendment targets the Downtown Specific Plan for the First Street address, changing its classification from Public to High Density Residential. These adjustments align with Housing Element Program 7.6.8.

Rezoning Details

The council will also introduce ordinances to rezone portions of both properties to Planned Unit Development-High Density Residential.

This zoning change would permit the construction of up to ten residential units on each site.

Next Steps for Development

Any future construction on the rezoned parcels must undergo a distinct evaluation process.

Developers will need to secure separate review and approval of a Planned Unit Development plan before proceeding with new projects.
