Jarvis delivered the decisive hit of the game, doubling to right field to score Adolis Dubón in the eighth inning. That moment capped a six-run explosion that turned a one-run deficit into a five-run advantage, ultimately providing enough cushion for the Atlanta Braves to secure a 7-6 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday.
The Braves, playing at home at Truist Park, had trailed 1-0 early after the first inning when Austin Riley scored on a groundout by Ronald Acuña Jr. The Padres tied the game in the seventh when Fernando Tatis Jr. homered to center field, but Atlanta’s offense woke up in the eighth.
