The San Francisco 49ers secured an 18-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, relying heavily on the leg of kicker Eddy Pineiro. Pineiro was flawless from the field, connecting on four separate attempts to account for all but three of his team's points.

First Half Stalemate

San Francisco responded in the second quarter as Eddy Pineiro tied the game at 6-6 with consecutive field goals from 24 and 25 yards out. However, Gay restored Las Vegas's advantage before halftime, sinking a 45-yard kick to make it 9-6 heading into the break.

The third quarter saw no change in momentum or score. Pineiro extended his perfect day by kicking a 48-yard field goal, tying the game at 9-9. Neither offense could generate significant yardage or crossing the goal line to put points on the board. The teams entered the fourth quarter locked in a tie, with both defenses holding firm and punting units doing the heavy lifting.
Fourth Quarter Surge
The decisive moments arrived in the final period. Pineiro took control of the game's momentum, hitting field goals from 59, 51, and 54 yards to put San Francisco ahead for good. Although Matt Gay answered with a 48-yard kick to tie the game at 12-12, Pineiro’s subsequent 51-yard and 54-yard kicks sealed the victory.
On the statistical front, Las Vegas quarterback Fernando Mendoza struggled with efficiency, completing just 7 of 14 passes for 57 yards with one interception. Mike Washington Jr. led the Raiders' ground game with 8 carries for 49 yards, while Tre Tucker was the top receiver with 3 receptions for 25 yards.
For San Francisco, quarterback Adrian Martinez managed the offense effectively, throwing 12 of 21 passes for 130 yards. Khalil Herbert contributed on the ground with 39 rushing yards, and wideout Jordan Watkins emerged as the primary target, hauling in 4 receptions for 64 yards.
