Lee leads the offense
Lee put together the decisive swings for San Francisco, hitting two solo home runs and adding a sacrifice fly in a 5-1 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
His first homer went to right center in the third inning and traveled 410 feet. He added another drive to right center in the eighth, this one measured at 385 feet, before bringing in the Giants' final run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth.
Giants build the early lead
San Francisco opened the scoring in the top of the second. Gilbert singled to right, and Susac scored on a fielding error by right fielder Nimmo as Gilbert advanced to third. Basabe followed with a sacrifice fly to right that brought in Gilbert for a 2-0 lead.
Lee's third-inning homer pushed the margin to 3-0. The score stayed there until the eighth, when Lee's second home run made it 4-0. In the top of the ninth, Lee hit a sacrifice fly to center that scored McCray and gave San Francisco a 5-0 lead.
Texas scored its only run in the bottom of the ninth on Duran's 406-foot homer to left, accounting for the final margin.
