Bradford sets the tone
Cody Bradford gave Texas 4 1/3 scoreless innings, and the Rangers beat the San Francisco Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Bradford allowed five hits and two walks while striking out five. Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings, allowing no hits or walks and striking out three to earn the win, improving to 2-2.
Robby Ahlstrom, Chase Silseth and Cole Winn completed the shutout. Ahlstrom allowed one hit and struck out one in one inning. Silseth allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout in one inning. Winn allowed one hit and did not walk a batter in one inning.
Four-run third breaks it open
Texas did all of its early scoring in the bottom of the third inning. Nimmo singled to right, scoring Langford for a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left that brought home Nimmo and Burger, extending the margin to 3-0.
Díaz then doubled to left, scoring Foscue and giving the Rangers a 4-0 lead. Those four runs came against Carson Whisenhunt, who took the loss and fell to 2-3. Whisenhunt allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts.
