Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is considered day-to-day with a rib injury, coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday.

McConkey caught five passes for 82 yards during the Chargers’ 26-14 defeat against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. He left during the third quarter after taking a hit from linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. while trying to catch a pass over the middle. McConkey did not return after appearing to be in significant pain.

The Chargers were behind by two points when McConkey exited, but their offense did not score on its final four possessions. Those drives included multiple penalties, and quarterback Justin Herbert was sacked twice after being taken down three times in the game.

Herbert said after the loss that McConkey had made several plays and that he hoped the receiver would recover soon.

Harbaugh also listed safety Elijah Molden, who has a hamstring injury, and wide receiver Derius Davis, who has an undisclosed injury, as day-to-day. Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith is dealing with a hamstring injury and is expected to miss some time.

The injuries could create an opportunity for rookie receiver Brenen Thompson. Thompson played 10 offensive snaps Sunday but was not targeted. He had a notable training camp, was the fastest receiver at the NFL scouting combine with a 4.26-second 40-yard-dash time and led the Southeastern Conference in receiving yards last season at Mississippi State with 1,054 yards. ABC30 Fresno reported the injury updates.
