The San Francisco 49ers have added tight end Jack Stoll to their practice squad following a 27-7 Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Australia. Clutchpoints.com reported the signing, citing NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo.
Stoll, 28, entered the NFL as an undrafted player with the Philadelphia Eagles and spent last season with the New Orleans Saints. He appeared in 15 games for New Orleans and has played in 76 games during his career.
The former Nebraska player has primarily been used as a blocking tight end. His career receiving totals are 28 catches for 239 yards and one touchdown. Stoll recorded his only touchdown last season with the Saints and has not appeared in a game during the 2026-27 season.
San Francisco has four tight ends on its active roster: George Kittle, Jake Tonges, Luke Farrell and Brayden Willis. Tonges, listed as the backup behind Kittle, is dealing with a knee injury sustained during the Rams game.
