The San Francisco 49ers said they signed defensive lineman Matthew Judon to the team’s practice squad on Sept. 29, 2026. The team did not provide further details about the move.
Judon, 34, is listed at 6 feet 3 inches and 265 pounds. The Baltimore Ravens selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, with the 146th overall pick.
During a 10-year NFL career, Judon has played for Baltimore, the New England Patriots, the Atlanta Falcons, the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills. He has appeared in 145 regular-season games, starting 100, and recorded 423 tackles, 72 sacks, 20 passes defended, nine forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
Judon has been selected to four Pro Bowls, from 2020 through 2023. In five postseason appearances, including three starts, he has added 14 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
