Elijah Molden will not play in the Chargers’ Week 3 matchup against the Bills because of a hamstring injury.
The injury occurred in Los Angeles’ Week 1 loss to the Cardinals, and this will be Molden’s second straight missed game. He did not practice during the team’s preparation for Week 3.
Tony Jefferson is expected to remain in an expanded role in the Chargers’ secondary while Molden is unavailable. A potential return for Molden in Week 4 against the Seahawks on Oct. 4 depends on his progress, and further details were not provided.
