KeAndre Lambert-Smith has been placed on injured reserve by the Chargers after suffering a significant hamstring injury in the team's Week 1 loss to the Cardinals.

The second-year player must sit out at least the next four games. He is eligible to return in Week 6, when the Chargers are scheduled to play the Chiefs on Oct. 18, although additional recovery time may be necessary.

The Chargers added Gary Jennings to their 53-player roster in a corresponding move.
