The Los Angeles Chargers will be without cornerback Deane Leonard for their Week 1 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, while outside linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu remains listed as questionable. The teams are scheduled to play Sunday at SoFi Stadium.
Leonard did not practice during the week because of an abdominal injury and was ruled out after three straight absences. Tuipulotu was limited Wednesday and Thursday with a hip issue, leaving him as the Chargers' only player with a questionable designation on the final report.
Running back Keaton Mitchell and wide receiver Brenen Thompson are available for the game. Mitchell worked through a hamstring issue and returned to practice after missing six consecutive sessions before Week 1. He is listed as Los Angeles' No. 2 running back behind Omarion Hampton.
Safety R.J. Mickens also is expected to play after progressing from limited work Wednesday to full participation Thursday and Friday. He is set to contribute on special teams and at safety behind Elijah Molden and Tony Jefferson. Edge rusher Khalil Mack was held out Wednesday for a scheduled rest day, then practiced fully Thursday, with the report identifying the absence as maintenance.
Arizona has four players listed with game statuses. Offensive lineman Isaiah Adams, safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson and cornerback Garrett Williams are out. Running back Jeremiyah Love is questionable because of an ankle injury. The Cardinals' Friday report also listed Josh Sweat, Blake Gillikin and Will Johnson as full participants.
