Puka Nacua’s availability for the Los Angeles Rams’ Monday Night Football matchup with the New York Giants remains uncertain. The Rams are 0-1 after losing 27-7 to the San Francisco 49ers, while New York enters the game at 1-0.

Nacua, a two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, missed two late-week practices because of a hip injury and is listed as questionable for Week 2. ESPN reported Sunday that his chances of playing were declining and that the decision would come before kickoff. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Monday that the receiver’s status was still unresolved.

Head coach Sean McVay said the issue is not the psoas injury that kept Nacua out for several weeks before the season. McVay said Nacua had some groin soreness, according to ESPN. The latest injury information was reported by cbssports.com.

The Rams’ inactive lists are expected to be released 90 minutes before the game. For the 8:15 p.m. Eastern kickoff, that would put the announcement at about 6:45 p.m. Eastern.

If Nacua cannot play, Los Angeles could use Davante Adams, Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, CJ Daniels and Tutu Atwell. Jordan Whittington is also an option, although he is listed as doubtful with a quadriceps injury.

Nacua had five catches for 74 yards, a team high, in the Rams’ opener. In 2025, he led the NFL with 129 receptions, ranked second with 1,715 receiving yards and tied for third with 10 touchdown catches. He also holds league records for receiving yards by a rookie, receptions by a rookie in one game and career receiving yards per game.
