Nick Bosa was listed with a calf injury after missing the San Francisco 49ers’ Thursday practice. The defensive end had been absent Wednesday for his usual day off, but Thursday marked a change in his injury status.
Dre Greenlaw, Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s session because of Veterans Day.
Romello Height, who has a hand issue, and Mike Evans, dealing with a hip problem, were absent for a second consecutive practice. Evans was reported to have worked separately on the field. Despite being in his first season with San Francisco, Evans is among the players who could miss an entire week of practice and still play Sunday.
That option had been relevant before the team sustained several injuries at wide receiver.
Coach Kyle Shanahan is expected to provide additional information about Bosa’s calf injury on Friday. Bosa has also carried a knee designation since the team’s first injury report, and Shanahan has indicated that the 49ers may manage his workload this week following a season-ending knee injury. The report did not provide further details about the calf issue.
