Brock Purdy enters Sunday’s game against Denver without having been sacked through San Francisco’s first three games, according to the NFL’s October 1 player-of-the-month announcement.
The 3–0 49ers host the 2–1 Broncos at Levi’s Stadium on October 4. Kickoff is 1:25 p.m. Pacific, and Bay Area viewers can watch on KPIX CBS 5.
Purdy’s September production included nine passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. The 49ers reported 789 passing yards, one interception and a 133.1 passer rating when announcing his NFC Offensive Player of the Month award.
San Francisco has averaged 32.7 points per game. Denver brings eight sacks through its first three games, according to the NFL game center. Those figures make pass protection a concrete matchup to watch: Purdy’s sack-free opening stretch faces a defense already producing pressure that finishes behind the line.
The Broncos led the league in sacks in both 2024 and 2025, with 63 and 68 respectively, according to official Denver season summaries. Sunday’s game gives the 49ers a chance to reach 4–0, while a Denver win would leave both clubs with three victories.
