Consultant Services and Traffic Analysis

New development projects in the city require traffic impact analyses to evaluate network effects. City staff typically manage these studies during the development review process.

The current on-call transportation consultant roster allows qualified firms to prepare these studies without individual advertising or contract approvals. This structure streamlines project completion for applicants.

Contract Extension and Budget Adjustment

The City Council previously approved the existing agreements in May 2022. Those contracts covered services from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025. A first amendment later extended the term to June 30, 2026.

This second amendment extends the agreements through June 30, 2027. It also increases the aggregate not-to-exceed amount across the three contracts from $500,000 to a new total.

Approval Process and Timeline

The agenda item authorizes the City Manager to execute the second amendments. Council members will review the proposed changes during the June 16 meeting.

The action addresses ongoing needs for qualified transportation consultants to support municipal development reviews.
