The Pleasanton Express introduced its inaugural fall edition of On the Record, a new sports magazine included free with this week’s print publication. The 88-page full-color issue focuses on student-athletes and programs across Pleasanton, Jourdanton, Poteet, Charlotte, and McMullen County.

The publication moves beyond standard season previews to highlight the broader community impact of local athletics. It features team photos, schedules, rosters, and individual athlete profiles for football, volleyball, cheerleading, dance, band, cross country, and tennis teams.

Editors stated the goal was to provide local students with coverage and presentation quality typically reserved for larger athletic programs. The magazine aims to recognize the work and traditions of student-athletes who participate in Friday night games, Tuesday matches, Saturday meets, and countless hours of practice.

A spring edition is planned to cover basketball, baseball, softball, powerlifting, track and field, and golf. Copies of the fall edition are available free with the newspaper or for $2 at the Pleasanton Express office while supplies last.

The publication was supported by local businesses and organizations through advertising. A list of advertisers appears on page 86 of the magazine. Businesses interested in advertising for the spring edition can contact Priscilla Castillo at 830-569-6130 or priscilla@pleasantonexpress.com.

The Pleasanton Express thanked the advertisers for their investment in celebrating area student-athletes. The publication marks a shift from traditional fall sports previews to a more comprehensive look at the students representing their hometowns this season.
