Project Overview and Previous Approval

The Pleasanton City Council previously approved the Arroyo Lago subdivision during a July 27, 2026 meeting. That approval included annexation proceedings, General Plan Amendments, rezoning, a Planned Unit Development plan, and a Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map.

The initial conditions of approval did not include specific requirements for wastewater treatment facility analysis or funding.

New Wastewater Conditions

The Dublin San Ramon Service District submitted a comment letter requesting two additional conditions related to the project. Staff members have concurred with the district that these additions would clarify developer obligations for necessary studies and fair share improvement costs.

The revised ordinance will formally add these requirements as Conditions of Approval 134 and 135.

Next Steps for Council Review

City staff recommends that the council introduce Ordinance No. 2308 during the upcoming special meeting on Aug. 11, 2026. The revised document will update the project approvals to reflect the newly added conditions.

The council will review the proposed changes before finalizing the development framework for the residential site.
