Offense Ignites Early
Samson Eldridge provided the spark for the San Francisco Giants, recording four hits and driving in four runs in a 7-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Oracle Park on Sunday. Pitching Battle
The Giants' pitching staff did its job to protect the lead, starting with Yunior Marte. Marte threw 4.2 innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, two walks, and striking out three batters. The Giants' bullpen was effective in the late innings, with Dylan Smith closing the game with one scoreless inning, striking out two batters. Reiver Sanmartin earned the win after one scoreless inning, while Carson Seymour picked up his fifth save. The Diamondbacks' Mitch Bratt took the loss, pitching 4.1 innings and allowing three hits, three earned runs, two walks, and striking out two batters. Arizona's relief corps, including Gerardo Carrillo and Derek Law, combined to allow four runs in their respective stints.
