Ramos Dominates Offense

Ramos delivered a historic offensive performance, hitting three home runs and a triple to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 10-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. The slugger’s contributions included a solo shot in the sixth inning, a three-run homer later in the same frame, and a two-run blast in the eighth. His day began earlier with a triple that scored the first run of the game via a throwing error.

Early Scoring and Pitching Struggles

Toronto took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning when Ramos tripled to center field and scored on a throwing error by shortstop Giménez. The Blue Jays extended their lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning when Devers scored on a groundout that resulted in a double play. In the fifth inning, the Giants erased the deficit and took a 3-2 lead when Bericoto stole home, with Arraez stealing second base during the play. The scoring sequence for Bericoto’s steal is listed twice in the official record, but the score remained 3-2 after the play.

Giants’ Offensive Explosion

The Giants’ offense erupted in the sixth inning. Okamoto opened the scoring with a 412-foot home run to left-center, making it 3-3. Bericoto then singled to right, driving in Devers and Lee to give San Francisco a 5-3 advantage. Ramos followed with a 349-foot home run to right, bringing in Adames and Bericoto to extend the lead to 8-3. The Giants added two more runs in the eighth inning when Eldridge scored on Ramos’ 444-foot home run to left-center, finalizing the 10-1 score.

Pitching Decisions and Final Notes

Landen Roupp earned the win for San Francisco, pitching eight innings and allowing only one earned run on three hits while striking out five batters. Spencer Bivens closed the game with a perfect inning, recording two strikeouts. For Toronto, Kevin Gausman took the loss after pitching 5.1 innings, surrendering four earned runs on five hits with eight strikeouts. Tommy Nance and Adam Macko also pitched for the Blue Jays, with Nance allowing one earned run in 1.2 innings and Macko giving up two earned runs in one inning.

The game was played at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California, with an attendance of 32,740. The Giants improved their record to 38-52, while the Blue Jays fell to 42-49.
