Aaron Donald appears to be gearing up for a return to the Los Angeles Rams as he trains at the team's facilities. A recent Instagram video posted by 2Tenths Speed & Agility shows Donald engaged in workout drills, leading to speculation about his plans for the upcoming 2026 season.
This follows weeks of discussion regarding his potential unretirement after stepping away from the NFL at the end of the 2023 season.
The Rams have made significant changes to their defensive lineup this offseason, including the addition of Myles Garrett. Donald's return could further strengthen the team's defense, as Garrett has expressed interest in playing alongside the 10-time Pro Bowler. Fans reacted to the workout video with excitement, questioning whether Donald's training indicates his return.
While Donald has not officially filed for reinstatement, Rams head coach Sean McVay has indicated that more workouts are expected from him. Donald has been training with his personal trainer and has also worked with current Rams players during the offseason. McVay has emphasized that he will not rush Donald through this process.
Former NFL offensive lineman Terron Armstead supported the Rams' cautious approach, stating that Donald has earned the right to take his time in deciding whether to return. Armstead acknowledged Donald's exceptional career and expressed confidence in his ability to be prepared if he chooses to play again.
