49ers Finalize Initial 53-Man Roster with Key Signings and Releases

The San Francisco 49ers have announced several roster moves as they finalize their initial 53-man roster. Among the key signings, the team has added defensive lineman Viliami Fehoko Jr. to a one-year contract while releasing tight end Josiah Deguara.

In addition, the 49ers have re-signed tight end Khalil Dinkins to a three-year deal and waived/injured defensive lineman Xavier Thomas. They also signed running back Khalil Herbert to a one-year deal, placing running back Patrick Taylor Jr. on injured reserve.

Further moves included signing defensive lineman Evan Anderson and releasing/injured defensive lineman Titus Leo. The team has also signed cornerback Eli Apple, defensive lineman Xavier Thomas, and running back Zamir White to one-year contracts, while waiving wide receiver Junior Bergen and punter Jack Bouwmeester.

Other transactions involved signing offensive lineman Doug Kramer Jr. and waiving offensive lineman Nick Zakelj, as well as signing offensive lineman Kion Smith and waiving wide receiver Colton Dowell. The 49ers also signed wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo to one-year deals, releasing defensive linemen Kevin Givens and Cameron Latu in the process.

These roster adjustments come as the team prepares for the upcoming season, with further details about player performance and strategy not yet clear.
