The Carolina Panthers have strengthened their defensive line by trading for TeRah Edwards, a defensive tackle from the Los Angeles Chargers. This transaction occurred just before the final roster cutdowns, with the Panthers sending a sixth-round pick in the 2028 draft to Los Angeles in exchange for Edwards.
TeRah Edwards joined the Chargers as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2025 season after completing five years at the University of Illinois. Although he did not play in any regular-season games during the 2025 season, he did record an interception during the preseason.
In the 2026 preseason, Edwards participated in all three games, accumulating a total of 10 tackles. Further details about his role with the Panthers or potential impact on the team have not yet been disclosed.
