The Los Angeles Chargers have announced the signing of punter JK Scott. In a corresponding move, linebacker Denzel Perryman has been placed on Reserve/Injured.
JK Scott has played four seasons with the Chargers, participating in 68 games and punting 280 times, achieving a gross average of 64.1 yards per punt and a net average of 41.7 yards. He has successfully placed 109 punts inside the 20-yard line and has received the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award twice.
Over his career, Scott has punted 478 times across 117 regular-season games for the Chargers, Green Bay Packers, and Jacksonville Jaguars, with a career gross average of 45.4 yards per punt.
In addition to Scott's signing, the Chargers have added 16 players to their practice squad.
The practice squad roster includes Lander Barton (LB, Utah), Andre Carter (OLB, Army), Jahmeer Carter (DL, Virginia), Junior Colson (LB, Michigan), Gregory Desrosiers (RB, Memphis), Gary Jennings (WR, West Virginia), Amar Johnson (RB, South Dakota State), Josh Kaltenberger (C, Maryland), Nikko Reed (CB, Oregon), Devonte Ross (WR, Penn State), Evan Svoboda (TE, Wyoming), Nadame Tucker (OLB, Western Michigan), DJ Uiagalelei (QB, Florida State), Laekin Vakalahi (T), Isas Waxter (CB, Villanova), and Terry Webb (DL, Southern Methodist).
